Thomas Pollock Devereux (born circa 1845) of Wake County, N.C., was a Confederate soldier in the 2nd Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia during the last months of the Civil War. The collection consists of recollections, 1912, by Thomas Pollock Devereux concerning his experiences with Grimes's division of the 2nd Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia during the last months of the Civil War, 18 pages carbon typescript; and a letter, 1878, from R. W. Pulliam, Asheville, N.C., to Thomas P. Devereux, state solicitor, about the case of North Carolina vs. George William Swepson and Milton Smith Littlefield, a case of railroad fraud during Reconstruction in North Carolina.
